I am going into foreclosure in my property in waukegan illinois, can they take my home in wisconsin?
What is my recourse to save the property in Wisconsin, that is in my name. If I cant quit claim it can I sell it to my sister, if I go into foreclosure with my home in Illinois.? I can still pay the mortgage a few more months until sale goes thru.
No worries. The home in Wisconsin is safe. Collateral for a home loan is the house that the loan is upon.
However, if you have a foreclosure on your credit, you will not be able to purchase or refinance for a minimum of three years.
