How can I stop a foreclosure on my house?
Is chapter 13 the only way?
It just says house needs some repairs and updates.
The listings are “free” on realtytrac – but you don’t get any valuable information (address).
You can check the local newspaper. The lender / mortgage holder is required to place a public notice advising people of the trustee’s sale.
I have seen homes in foreclosure but is it illegal to approach the property and look around if the present owners still live on the property? Would this be considered as trespassing?
My husband bought a house prior to our marriage. I am not on the deed to that house. If he has to foreclose on the property, will it affect my credit? In other words, can creditors come after me if he has to foreclose? We live in Florida and the house was bought in Florida. We currently live in the house. Again, my name is NOT on the deed. I had nothing to do with the purchase of the home. If you can send me the links with the info that would be very helpful.
today on news.yahoo.com:
"Students in Virginia, Colorado and South Carolina were wrongfully told by voting officials that they could lose their scholarships and their parents would no longer be able to claim them on their income taxes if they registered to vote in their college towns.
The Michigan Department of Civil Rights launched an advertising campaign this week to combat misleading rumors – some started by local officials in mailings to voters – that people would be denied the right to vote if they lost their home to foreclosure, have a criminal record or do not have photo identification. "

My husband has been relocated to the South to work. We found a house that we would like to purchase, however, we have a house in Ohio that is currently in foreclosure. We also are closing on another house and will be able to get our home out of foreclosure and give us a down payment for the home in the South. Will we be able to get a loan, since we will have the foreclosure mark on our credit? We had never made any house payments late until now.
I’ve tried the foreclosure.com and bargain network but there’s always a fee attached after 1 free week of usage.
My boyfriend’s house is currently in foreclosure. He is six months behind on payments. The sale date is two months away. If he can come up with the past due amount and pay it to the lender, will the foreclosure go away?
